Sutro Vision frames are made from UV-resistant grilamid and are heat moldable for a custom fit. Each style is equipped with a Sutro designed ratcheting hinge made of surgical stainless steel that’s integrated into the design for strength and durability. It has a fixed screw that moves with the temples and won’t back out. The ratchet keeps the frame closed when hanging from a shirt pocket, allowing the use of a lighter spring that centers the frame on the face without pressure. Lenses are polarized mineral glass by Barberini (remember Vaurnet? they used this same Barberini lens).

WHY SUTRO? I distributed SutroVision Eyewear back in the day when they first started out.... Eventually the company stopped producing and basically ended operations a few years ago. Fast forward to just a few months ago - I was talking to one of the founders & worked out a deal to buy all remaining Sutro inventory. I now have them available at a GREAT price (I sold hundreds of these things for $250-300 back in the day).
