Vee Two Clutch Basket Upgrade Kit for 1983/4 900 MHR (Dry Clutch) with Electric Start & all 1000cc MHR & S2 Mille’.
Material – High carbon heat treated 1045 steel.
Weight: 2.65 lbs (1.2 kg) compared to the standard Ducati part which weighs 2.98 lbs (1.35 kg).
Advantages - These Vee Two components are lighter than originals reducing rotating weight. This reduction in weight also reduces the inertia effect that causes premature ware on the contact areas of the Basket fingers and Hub teeth. No modification required to install.
Description - These components are exact replicas of originals in operation. Vee Two clutch baskets and hubs are made from high carbon 1045 steel and are heat treated making them far superior to the originals. This heat treatment process assists in reducing wear caused by clutch plates contacting the hub and basket. These Vee Two components are lighter than originals reducing rotating weight. This reduction in weight also reduces the inertia effect that causes premature ware on the contact areas of the Basket fingers and Hub teeth. No modification required to install.
