This is a 520 chain size sprocket and chain kit for bevel drive twins. Remember that the STOCK chain size was 530 but 520 chains and sprockets are lighter....
Why convert to 520? Simple facts are as follows;
- 520 chains are smaller and lighter than 530.
- 520 sprockets are thinner and therefore lighter than 530.
- Modern 520 chains and much stronger than any 530 chain available in the 70s.
- Reducing weight here pays off in huge dividends - almost like free horsepower.
This is a small chain and thinner sprockets so everything is LIGHTER but because chain technology has evolved so much in the past 20-30 years, and this particular chain is a VERY good X-ring chain you can be assured it is more than up to the task of handling the power of your bevel drive Ducati twin. We only stock a few sizes of rear sprockets in BARE aluminum as well as TITAN TOUGH hard anodized, both with lots of holes which we refer to as 'Ultralight' in the drop down menu.
