Vee Two Australia’s own research and development utilize a purpose built Eddy Current Dyno to test all their camshaft designs. When a cam design is developed and tested it is both used in our extensive world wide race program as well as being offered for sale to Vee Two customers.
At Vee Two we understand the need to supply our street bike customers with cam shafts suitable for street applications. With our race program we have utilized the Desmo operation of the camshafts to give more power and torque and more importantly remain tractable and street-able. These cams will suit your road engine and improve the overall spread of power. Your bike will be happy in traffic, open highways and on mountain roads.

Chrome Molybdenum, high core strength steel (17 CRMON16) and case hardened to Rockwell 62/64 - significantly harder than the originals (56/58).
With Vee Two performance Cams, we endeavor to run 0 clearance through the opening and closing cycle to prolong closing shim collet and valve groove life. However it is important that binding does not occur. Due to errors and differences in rocker radii pin positions, etc, a slightly wider tappet clearance than specified may be necessary. Vee Two recommends that piston to valve clearance always be checked. When checking timing in Desmo engines, not using closing springs, ensure that the bottom rocker is held up against closing shim at position of taking cam timing figures. Please check rotation of camshaft in cylinder head before assembly. Some early single heads may require the removal of a small amount of the head material from the inside of the rocker box to allow clearance for the extra lift from this camshaft. This work can be performed by any competent motorcycle mechanic.
