MP-08-0058 - This tool is versatile enough to be used on cam chains or drive chains, from #35 all the way up to #620! For 520 chains and up we recommend that you grind the head off the rivit first. Each kit includes 3 pin sizes to fit most chains [2mm, 3mm & 4mm] and is investment cast, hardened body etc. Also included are press plates. Chain breaker and riveting tool

Well-designed and easy to use, a good investment.
When breaking the chain, after the recommended grinding off of the pin/rivet heads,
one must be very careful to keep the tool's breaker pin centered on the pin being pushed.
It should not take huge force to push the pin through after the head is ground off,
so if the force gets big with no movement, re-center the break pin on the link pin.
I paid the price of a broken breaking pin. Fortunately, Motion Pro sells the pins
separately, for about $6-$7.
The tool can also be used to install clip-type master links as well as the riveted ones.
