This was our FIRST invention for Ducati Motorcycles, and our FIRST product - created around 1999. In fact, the first prototype I mounted onto a pal's 750GT way back when....

See the gap between the chain and the case? The chain will not rub on your case or bind and your swingarm will still function in a completely normal fashion with our Case Saver Kit.
We did some research and found that the DUCATI factory didn't feel the need to make any provision to keep the chain from rubbing on the case of your bevel drive twin until they started making the DARMAH. Most riders have replaced shocks with longer than stock units and exchanged countershaft sprockets to get more teeth. These mods seem to make this problem worse but now you can keep your chain off your case no problem. We make these "Buffers" out of black Delrin which is highly resistant to wear, oil, solvents etc so it should last a REAL long time. We also include all mounting hardware including an allen head bolt, washer and nylock nut.
This kit is round so as it wears, you can loosen then rotate it so it lasts a good long time. Instructions for each specific Ducati model [for the hole location] are included for EZ installation.
All measurements are based on the lower rear engine bolt and the center stand pivot. You can drill one 1/4" hole and the included 6mm bolt slips through for installation or you can drill and tap for the included 6mm bolt if you have the tools and skills. This is a MUST DO modification for your bevel drive twin.
