This is closed cell high density foam that is PERFECT to replace that crappy old open cell foam on your bevel drive - choose either the the early flat front 750SS/900SS or later SS kit that has a raised part in the front.. You will be gluing the raised part and shaping it as required. Any decent upholstry shop will handle all this for you but, 99% of these shops will NOT have any closed cell foam and only have open cell foam which is worthless for a motorcycle seat..... Thats why I have this available here.
Early flat front 750SS/900SS kit can be used for standard tank bikes as well as Imola tank bikes. It has 2 pieces of foam. The bottom and a piece for the rear part.
The later raised front type 750SS/900SS seat kit has 3 pieces of foam. The bottom, the raised part for the front of the bottom and a piece for the rear part.
You highly recommend that you take it to your local upholstery shop and hand it to them with your seat and let em take care of the rest. WHY? We couldn't find a GOOD seat foam at any of the local upholstery shops to use on our motorcycles. But we finally did find a manufacturer who would sell us pieces in suitable sizes for our needs. PERFECT!
NOTE:
- Early FLAT seat: You will be getting 2 pieces of closed cell high density foam that will need to get shaped as needed.
- Later RAISED front seat: You will be getting 3 pieces of closed cell high density foam that will need to get shaped as needed. The smaller piece of foam will get glued onto the front of the flat bottom and shaped.
Either way, any decent upholstry shop will be able to duplicate your original seat foam without a hitch using these kits.
