This tank was used on a 1977 Ducati bevel drive 900 SS racebike back in the day. It is a used gas tank that does not leak.
The tank has been repaired after a minor on track get off. It was done the right way meaning, a section was cut out of the bottom as you can see in the photo of the underside, the ding hammered back out and then the aluminum was smoothed over. It is ready for final bodywork and paint. The cut out section was then welded back in place. The bike this was on has since been converted back to a streetbike and the original tank installed once more so this is no longer needed.
It uses the standard tank mount silent blocks up front with the rear sitting on standard tank buffers aka saddles as used on all the super sports. This tank is setup to use standard 16mm x 1.0 thread fuel taps.
