A well known problem with the Bevel V twin Ducati engine… The clutch centre nut coming undone!
The Ducati original circular ‘tabwasher’ has a small tooth, which locates into the splines of the gearbox mainshaft. The little tooth often shears off during tightening, due to friction between the face of the nut and the tabwasher.
Eventually…… the clutch centre nut, comes loose!
Result…… Slipping clutch, Often there is also damage to the central splines of the clutch center too!
Developed over many years of road and racing Ducati bevel V twins… Our lock plate uses 2 of the ‘clutch spring pillars’ as positive locators, making it impossible for the nut to come loose.
* Made from a good grade of cold rolled steel.
* No need to use any locking fluid
